What happens during the porcelain veneer procedure?
The process of getting porcelain veneers can be completed in as little as two visits. First you will go through the exam and diagnostic phase in order to identify any potential oral health concerns that might need to be addressed before your veneers can be placed. We will help you to choose the best color for your veneers using a special shade chart, and before and after imaging can show you your expected results. Impressions will also be taken of your mouth so that we can send in your specifications to a dental lab to create your veneers.
Once your veneers have been received, you will come in for another appointment to have them put into place. Your teeth will be lightly buffed to make room for the veneers, and they will then be thoroughly cleaned using a special liquid in order to achieve a durable bond. Next, bonding cement will be placed onto the tooth so that the veneer can be slipped on. A specialized light will set and harden the bond.
